Hippo on Wood
I’ve recently developed a love of hippos and really wanted to paint one. These danger friends are just too cute!
I experimented a ton on this piece and learned a lot from it. It’s also the biggest watercolour piece I’ve painted to date at 16″x12″!

Dilute Calico
This beautiful little lady was commissioned as a gift. I painted her just before Riley, the pooch I posted previously, and have been holding off posting her to make sure her portrait had time to be gifted. She’s an absolutely stunning cat, and it was such an amazing treat to be able to paint her!

Parakeet
A friend was recently enjoying painting a bird portrait, so I decided to try my hand at it, too. I think this is my first time painting a naturally colourful bird. It almost feels like cheating to call this a rainbow painting haha!

Leopard Gecko
Leopard geckos are so adorable. I just love their little eyelids and chonky tails! Do you have a favourite lizard?
I’m still figuring out how I like rainbow-izing complex markings like these. I think it depends on the animal, but it also may depend on my mood. 🤔
