Micro Turtle and Snail Rugs

Here’s the last batch of micro rugs I’ve created for this year: Snails and turtles! I loved my original turtle so much that I decided to create a template and make some turtle friends. And the snails are just because I love snails. That’s my only excuse haha!

I want to say a big THANK YOU to everyone who came out to support local artists at the Capital Art Sale this year! Everyone I spoke with was stoked by all the support from the community. You all rock!

Fox on Wood 2022

I feel like it’s been forever since I’ve painted on wood. It’s such a unique painting experience with the watercolours; they really react so differently with the watercolour ground.

I wanted to create a wispy, kind of celestial feeling with this little fox. This was my first time using salt with my watercolours, and I find the result really interesting and fun. Definitely something I plan to keep playing around with in the future.

This original painting, and exactly two prints, are available at the Capital Art Sale running December 7-10 at 1111 Regent St. Watercolour always looks way better in person, so I definitely encourage you to check it out if you can!

Fox Rug 2022

It’s not a proper winter without some fox art! (Or at least, that’s what my husband keeps telling me.) I wanted to update my old fox design and hopefully create a slightly more friendly face for this foxy friend. This rug will be available at the Capital Art Sale running December 7-10 at 1111 Regent St.

Micro Turtle

I have to admit, I have a huuuuuuge soft spot for turtles. This is the smallest of my latest micro rugs, at about 5-6” long and about 2-3” tall. So smol! This little one also has a yarn hanger attached to the back, and is ready to hang out on a wall or tree. This little turtle will be available at the Capital Art Sale running December 7-10 at 1111 Regent St.

Micro Squid

Here’s a new type of rug I’m trying out: Micro sized. This little squid is about 6-7” in diameter, and I’ve even added a whip stitch border to help it look extra finished. I’ve attached a little loop of yarn to the back so it’s all ready to hang on a wall or tree! This little squid will be available at the Capital Art Sale running December 7-10 at 1111 Regent St.

August Sticker Pack

Here’s our sticker pack for August as voted by my patrons on Patreon! These little bears were a real challenge to draw. There’s a lot of overlap in their body types, but some surprising differences! I somehow never noticed the moon bear has such a puffy head.

From top left going clockwise, we have the: grizzly bear, moon bear, polar bear, black bear, and giant panda.

Please remember to sign up for the Orange Cat, Blue Bird, or Yellow Frog tiers over on Patreon any time this month to get some of exclusive goodies, or adopt these guys at their 2.5″, non-shiny selves on my store.
